Redstone granite homes start to be sold and displayed

For some in the new home market, the ability to stay connected across generations is crucial.

With parents, kids and grandparents (and sometimes aunts and uncles) just steps away, the new Jayman Build is a way to check the boxes for some buyers.

The developer is expected to pre-sell and display homes at Granite on June 9 for those registered on the VIP list, with a general launch on June 16.

The 174-unit development – spread across 27 buildings in 6 or 12 complexes – is located in Redstone. The master-planned community in Northeast Calgary by the Qualico Community is accessible from the Métis Trail, just off the Rocks Trail.

Granite prices include two- and three-bedroom townhouses starting at $260,650 and one-bedroom apartments starting at $184,800. In both cases, the price is before GST.

Townhouse configuration options include three bedrooms, two bedrooms or two bedrooms and an office.

Generally, the development’s floor plans range from 599 to 1,015 square feet.

“This is not just a multi-generational community, but a next-generation community where families can live together but each family can live together,” said Nicky Ziemann, multi-family sales manager at Jayman Build. Everyone has their own space.

“We want to see young couples or single people who want to own something but want to be close to their family — (for example) a young family with elderly people (townhouse) or a The old man lives in the townhouse. The townhouses have their own garage and street parking in front of each apartment. There is also additional parking around the site.

The building is arranged so that the street-facing apartments are located below a row of townhouses and in front of the rear garage.

As the name develops, there are three color palettes and floor plans named after different types of granite. The façade – which will be built from the more unpredictable James Hardie panels – features a colorful block architecture design that changes throughout the development, giving each building a different look.

The opportunity to take time to get some fresh air, says Ziemann, is an important part of growth.

“At the heart of the project is a beautiful courtyard with a playground, picnic tables and beautiful green space to play football and walk,” he added.
